The Church of the Immaculate Conception is a traveling Roman Catholic church located in what is known as Wied Gerżuma or Gerżuma Valley, on the outskirts of Rabat, Malta.
The chapel was founded in 1736 by Grand Master Antonio Manoel de Vilhena on land belonging to the Fondazione Paola, which supported the construction of sailing ships for the knights. An arch with the coat of arms of Anthony of Paola and an inscription are located near this chapel. It was blessed by Fra Giuseppe Ruggier, representing the high prior of the conventional church of St. John in Valletta. As the church was the property of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, it was inherited by the successive governments that governed Malta after the expulsion of the Order of Malta in 1798. In fact, the chapel is still owned by the State.
